Design Tips For You before designing your own artwork for submitting!
- Keep it simple, remember the message you want to convey
- Use three fonts maximum, Helvetica, Times Roman, Arial are classic fonts
- White space is good, don't fill it because its there! let the page breathe
- All full colour work files should be converted to the CYMK format
- IMPORTANT Don't forget to proof, proof, proof!!! ....Nobody is ever in a hurry for a re-run!!!!
- Do not use images simply copied from any old internet website, they will look pixelated when printed.
A few important things to remember when supplying artwork for print...
BLEED
Any images on your flyer should bleed off the page; and essential text should be away from the edge. We use a 2mm bleed on each edge.
RESOLUTION
300dpi is the resolution we print at. If your artwork is low-resolution i.e. 72 dpi, they will look pixilated.
TEXT
Keep text away from the edge of the flyer, by about 8/10mm for best results.
